We walk in freedom because of them,
Those brave and gallant women and men.
They who wear the uniform of the USA;
They who stand between us and the enemy.
As the color guard, in parade, so strong and straight, pass by;
And we see the red, white and blue fly .
We think of what men and women have done;
And the Freedom that their bravery has won.
It started with farmer's sons, and the like, a rag tag lot at best;
They came against a well trained foe;
And as God was with them, they stood the test.
They won the freedom of those,
Who by themselves, could not be free.
By sheer courage they charged through withering fire for our Liberty.
Our Liberty has been at a great cost for over 200 years;
As men and women have won our Freedom;
And have protected it with their blood, sweat and tears.
So let us remember those who stand guard day and night;
And do their best to hold onto our Freedom's Right.
God Bless them all, Those who wear the uniform of the USA;
And let us all pray for them to be stronger and to hold their stay.
For without our support and prayers every day
They have a much tougher job in every way.
We should all want to help these gallant souls all we can;
And bolster the hearts of every uniformed woman and man.
Every one of us should hold them up to our Father in Heaven above;
And show them all our support and love.
For they are but, men and women, flesh and blood,
Fragile against hot steel and force so blunt;
But with God all things are possible and most get through;
And win our battles so our country can go on everyday anew.
So this tribute is for you all who have worn,
And still wear the uniform of the USA:
Past, present and future and we want to say
Thank you for the price you have paid and still pay
For our safety and freedom every day.
God Bless you all
For keeping Freedom Tall
By wearing the uniform of the USA
And fighting for our Freedom's way.
