           The way To Jesus....

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.  These are wonderful words Jesus spoke in this portion of the Word of God.   I would like everyone to see the importance in personally knowing Jesus as Savior and as the only one who takes us all the way from our earthly life of sin to His Glory that He has with His Father and His Father has with Him.
When Jesus made this statement, He made it clear that He is the only one who redeems us from the fall of man.  He is God’s Word and He is truth.  He is the only one who can forgive us of our sins and bring us eternal life. At this moment Jesus is our Great High Priest. He is the only one who makes it possible for us to approach unto the Throne of God. Believing in Jesus makes it possible for us to be spotless and without blame, for His Sinless Holy Blood covers our sin. Jesus stands between a Holy God and all who have His Holy Blood mark on them. As our High Priest He ever makes intercession for us.  If we can sincerely accept Jesus into our hearts and keep His Holy Love coming into our hearts at all times, we have the Spiritual Healing we need to receive and hold on to eternal life.

When The Comforter Comes

At the moment we receive Jesus, we have His Holy Spirit of Truth dwelling within us to give us the Word of God and make the Word of God more real to our hearts every day.  Jesus makes reference to the Holy Spirit as the Comforter in the Book of the Gospel of John, starting with the 14th Chapter and through the 17th Chapter. (KJV) Most of the new versions of the Bible refer to the Holy Spirit as Counselor.  I like the word Comforter better, for all who have Jesus are comforted in the knowledge that Jesus is their Savior, the Holy One who redeems them from the sin of this world.  To those who have Jesus in their heart, The Word of God is a great Comfort in the time of need.
When stressful situations occur in my life, I have learned to turn to the Word of God and let the Holy Spirit comfort my heart with the Psalms and with God’s Promises such as “Lo I AM with you and in you.”  Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.  John 14:18-20 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Along with prayer these things become soothing and a comfort to stressful nerves.  Because I know Jesus as my own personal Savior, the Word of God is also always a renewal to my inner most being that keeps me in Jesus’ way, His truth and His life.
The Word of God is a continual cleansing to my mind daily and I cannot emphasize it enough, Jesus is the Word of God. He is clean and pure and able to change all lives that are sincerely willing to let Him come into their heart. His Word washes as pure water washes and keeps clean, those who would follow His Holy Spirit of Truth.

Every Day With Jesus Is A Wonderful Day

To experience Jesus for the first time is truly a wonderful experience. It is a triumphant time of victory over sin.  To experience Him everyday of our lives is further victory over all the world that would try to come against us.  What we do with Jesus for the rest of our lives is based upon how we sincerely want Him and need Him further in our lives on a daily basis.  He loves us always.  Those who are truly sincere about believing in Jesus will return that love in the same manner as He gives us His love.  His Word speaks this love to our hearts and we are to prayerfully receive God’s Love in Jesus  continually into our hearts to keep us clean and pure.
I would urge everyone to receive Jesus and follow the Holy Spirit of Truth to experience Jesus in a more wonderful way everyday.  This is the only way to be pleasing unto a Holy God.  This is the only way to get through trials and tribulations that occur in all people’s lives.
It is very important that when the Lord gives someone something to do, that person should, to the best of their ability, obey and do the Lord’s bidding.  Every one of us that has received from the Holy Spirit, should seek to use that which is given, to further the work of the Lord.
Matthew 25:14-30 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man traveling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. 16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. 17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. 18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money. 19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. 21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them. 23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. 26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. 28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. 29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. 30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
This parable is very important to consider in the lives of those who would think of themselves as Christians. The Word of God says that each one who is the purchased possession of Jesus is a part of His body.  The Word also says that Jesus is the Head of that body. The Head directs all the movements of each part of the body.  In this parable we see that each one of us who are His servants will do what He directs over our lives.  He expects us to do a work, His Work that the Holy Spirit directs our lives to do.  The Holy Spirit sees our abilities and He shows us what we can do.  He gives us power to do God’s Work if we are truly His servants.  His true and faithful servants will not bury what has been given for them to do.
In the past couple of hundred years there have been a number of men and women who conducted revivals throughout the United States and also in the rest of the world.  In these revivals many thousands were led to Jesus.  These things just did not happen by mere men taking it upon themselves to want to do a work that would be a good work.  It was done by men and women who were filled with the Holy Spirit for Power for Service.  People who have the Power of God upon them to do the Will of God will always let Jesus direct their lives to bear good fruit in their lives.
We believe that a deep seated prayer life on the part of all Christians is needed very much to let God know what is in their hearts.  With all that is going on in this world Christians need to be praying in earnest for their families, friends, neighbors, churches, their community and for the whole area that surrounds them. People need the Lord.  This is a simple statement, but it is the truth.  All of us without exception need Him more each day of all our lives.
We feel that all people need to know that there is not much time left and the work of the Lord needs to be done now!  This world is not going to go on in this present dispensation that much longer.   All that is written in the Word of God is going to come to pass in the prophecies very soon and the judgement of the Lord is going to come sooner than one might think. I believe that the Lord expects more than what the average person who goes by His name is willing to give.  Jesus gave the example of what is expected of people when He spoke about His faithful servants who were given talents and they used the talents to gain other talents.  He was speaking about those who would do the work of the Lord to gain the lost into the Kingdom.  He gave some to be preachers and evangelists; He gave some to be teachers; He gave to all those who believe in Him the testimony of Him in their heart.  All who know Jesus as their Savior and ruler of their lives have a story or a testimony of how they became saved and what Jesus does for them.  If they cannot have a testimony of Jesus in their heart, they need to examine their lives and pray about it and let the Lord in their lives more.
In order to let the Lord into our lives more there must be a commitment to Him that is everlasting and true.  People simply must humble themselves and come to Jesus in a surrendering way every day of their lives.  I know that I feel very inadequate when I have not let the Lord have my life for even a single day.  There have been times that I have just gotten too busy and too involved with other things that have taken over my time.  When this happens I must stop and let the Holy Spirit speak to my heart and follow Him where ever He leads me. I try my best to let the Holy Spirit guide me in every way in every aspect of my life.
I have found that it is important to let the Lord have my life completely.  It is important to die to self and live unto the Lord.  Until I started praying to surrender all to the Lord, there was no power of God on me to do anything that would be the work of the Lord at all. There was no power to witness what Jesus had done for me in healing my soul and body and mind.  When a person is truly sincere about letting Jesus come into his or her heart, there is real healing, for where ever Jesus comes in to dwell by His Holy Spirit, that place will be clean and acceptable unto Him.
The Lord knows all hearts and He knows who is sincere about letting Him clean up their lives.  The Lord also knows who will continue to be sincere about letting Him keep their lives clean.  The cleansing of each one of us isn’t anything that we can do ourselves. There isn’t any good thing that we can do in our own power and strength that would establish us as worthy to receive anything from the Lord, but it is a process of letting the Lord into our hearts first and letting Him into our lives continually each day with prayer and by His Word.
The healing begins when  we ask Jesus for forgiveness of our sins and we invite Him into our hearts. Healing continues when we establish a relationship with Him through prayer and through understanding His Word as we let the Holy Spirit of Truth speak The Word of God to our hearts to give us understanding.  There is no cleansing and no healing in our hearts and minds until we gain the knowledge of knowing the difference between righteousness and unrighteousness. The Holy Spirit guides us through the Word and we learn by His Power as we let Him speak to our hearts to let us know right from wrong.
There is one important thing to remember, none of us have any righteousness of our own.  If we know Jesus as our own Personal Savior and continually let ourselves be led by His Holy Spirit all along the way, He will let His Righteousness rule our lives.  When people realize that they are His purchased possession they will not have a will of their own, but they will find the Love of Jesus and let this Love rule their lives. They will always let the Holy Spirit lead them further and let His Power continue to cleanse them with the Word of God’s Love. His Word shows this as we are likened unto a wife that is subject unto her husband. Ephesians 5:24-27 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
I seek to please my Savior as I let His Love come into my heart more each day of my life.  I am doing this because I believe, I truly believe in Jesus.  I am doing this because I believe His Word. I believe Jesus is pure and I want Him in my heart to keep me pure. Like His Word says, I want Him to present me to Himself, a faithful and living part of His body, not having spot or wrinkle, or any such thing. My sins are covered by the Blood of Jesus and I now know I am His purchased possession. I am now seeking to always let His Holiness come into my heart to make me clean and without blemish.  I urge all to let the Holy Spirit touch your life and guide you to Jesus.
Everything that is good, everything that is Perfect in Love is from our Savior, and we are to let His Holy Spirit of Truth lead us directly into His Love so that we receive this wonderful gift into our hearts and let it be sealed there by His Power alone. I would urge all to come to Jesus and let His Love be the most important part of your life. Everyone who seeks Jesus and lets His Holy Spirit of Truth show them the Word of God and lets His Word be the foremost part of their lives, will find Him in their lives everyday.  Each one will know it by the Power of His Perfect Love that comes into their heart to rule completely.
The only way, the only truth, the only everlasting life that there is, is through the Love of Christ continuously coming into each heart that will be willing to bow to the will of God and let His Holy Will be the ruling factor of their life.  We can do nothing on our own, but humble ourselves. We must let The Holy Spirit of Truth bring these things into our hearts and let Him seal them there forever.
I would urge all to come and hear the truth of God’s Word.  The Word of God is brought with Holy Spirit Power to give Truth at Mooncrest Baptist Church. The services are: Sundays at 11:00 a.m. and Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. at the top of the hill in Mooncrest at Church and Duffy Drives.  We have free recordings of the preaching and free recordings of singing for everyone who desires to have them.  We desire everyone to hear truth and to let God’s Word affect their lives as only the Holy Spirit can present the Word with Power. We desire to share Jesus in our hearts with everyone.
We would also welcome the children of the area to come and let God’s teaching be presented to them.  It is so important to start at an early age to receive the proper teaching of Jesus.  It is so important to fill young minds and hearts with the good things of God so that they might grow towards Him instead of falling into the darkness of the world.

My Prayer

My Prayer for you is this
That you would receive Jesus
And His Goodness
Of His Righteousness.
I pray for you to receive
The Holy Love of God
The Holy Spirit brings to each of us
Through God’s Word, Jesus.
I Pray for you
To let Jesus
Bring you to His safe Haven
Of being sheltered
In His Loving arms in Heaven.

There is no other safety in this world, but the Safety of the Holy Blood of Jesus. He is the Holy Lamb of God, that was Slain as a sacrifice for our sins.  There is no other way to be saved, but by letting the Holy Spirit draw you to Jesus and letting Jesus come into your heart.  Jesus came that everyone who would believe on Him with their whole heart would be saved from their sin and the wrath of God that is to come upon the whole world.  We urge everyone to let This Holy Lamb of God come into your heart. All who do can be reconciled unto the Wonderful God of Heaven who made everyone and everything.  Jesus is our safe Haven from the world.

The Blood of Jesus, Our only Safety

When temptation comes,
Strike it down with it is Written;
For this is the way
Jesus used God’s Word
And Satan was smitten.
When the pain of sorrows fill the air,
Plead the blood of Jesus
And these things will disappear.
When evil comes against you
From day to day,
Plead the blood of Jesus and say
Dear Jesus, with you in my heart I cannot fall;
You are my strength and my all in all.
