1John 5:4-5 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
When the Holy Spirit touches our hearts to reveal to us that we are sinners, and if we are sorry for our sins, there is a Power, a Wonderful Power of God's Love ready to take over our lives if we would just bow to the will of God and accept that which is offered to us. God's Love is full and free and beautiful. What is so beautiful is the fact that God loves us so much that He is willing to let His Love come into our heart if only we would be willing to receive this Love. That is why Jesus came to the earth. He came from His Glory above just for the purpose of dying for us and covering our sin with His Holy Blood. His sinless Holy Blood is the only atonement for our sin. If we accept Him into our heart, His Blood blots out our sin forever and the Father does not see our sin anymore. Jesus makes us son's of God, right along with Him. Those who believe and ask His forgiveness and are willing to let Him come in, His Holy Spirit of Truth will make them one with Jesus and His Father. This is humbling to me and I want to be an obedient son to let everyone know that I take Jesus by faith and I surrender my life to Him daily.
This is open to everyone who would want to let the Love of God into their heart to be saved from their sin. If all are truly sorry for their sins and want Jesus in their heart and invite Jesus into their heart, there is a Wonderful transition of Godly Love that takes place. It is what Jesus was talking about when He said “Ye must be born again, born of the Spirit of God.” For He said that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit. The Spirit of God enters in and in that transition the Love of God starts to take place and starts to draw us from the world. If we let this Holy Love grow in us, we will know from His Holy Spirit teaching us and showing us the world, how we are to overcome the world and be pleasing unto Jesus and His Father. As Jesus overcame the world, when He overcame the temptations that Satan tempted him with, all who want Jesus in their lives must let Him overcome the temptations of the world in their lives, for none of us can do it on our own. We must have the Power of His Holy Love in our heart and be yielded over to Him at all times.

To Him That Overcometh
Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
Jesus spoke these words to Apostle John, “To him that overcometh” 8 times for Him to write it in the book of Revelation. He spoke these words, once to each of the seven churches at that time as He was telling each church what was pleasing Him and what was displeasing Him from the second and third chapters of Revelation. He also spoke these words again in Revelation 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
According to one of my dictionaries: To overcome something means to succeed with dealing with a problem. What is the biggest problem facing the Christian? I believe that it all stems from the world in general and how the world still affects people who believe in Jesus. We as Christians should not let our life in Christ be affected by the world for the Word of God says that we should be sanctified or separated from the world or the sinful world where we came from in the first place. I believe that this is what Jesus was speaking about when He was talking about separating the sheep from the goats in Matthew 25:31-34 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: 32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: 33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: Or in another instance Apostle Paul wrote in his second letter to Timothy: 2:20 - But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. In the previous verse Paul also said, 2Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
This is the truth according to the Word of God, that to stay in the will of God, we should let His truth saturate our whole being so much that we can discern what the world is and what the will of God is. God’s Word lets us know all about the world and the things of the world are not for us to keep in our minds or that we should let these things consume our time and energies and even our relaxation. For our rest is in Jesus, and all the other things that really do not mean that much and take up our time that should be put to better use, like the renewing of our mind from His Word or letting the Lord commune with us in our rest with Him. Our time should be put to better things like ministry, not just on Sunday, but every other day of the week also. What ever we do for the Gospel of Jesus should be done quickly, because this world we live in is not going to go on in it’s present state that much longer. People should be aware of the fact that many people in this world are going to be lost forever. People should also be aware of the fact that this state of being church members is not going to save them in the end for those who keep the world in their lives are going to be lost too.
Jesus said that he who overcomes the world will be able to eat of the tree of life. He gave John these words to write to the church at Ephesus. These people are referred to by Jesus as losing their first love. Their first love is Jesus who saves them. When people let their surroundings of the world into their lives more than they let Jesus into their lives, they truly lose their first love with Jesus. We, as the body of Christ and believers are to have Jesus as our center of attention at all times. We are the espoused bride of Jesus, our Great King and bridegroom. He is our first love when we invite Him into our heart. This love should never grow stale and become distant, but grow closer in intensity and anticipation each day as the hour approaches when He will come and take us away. Those who let Jesus into their heart every day and only want to please Him, their love will grow for only Him, He is our Great King of Kings and we are His bride to be. At this present time His espoused bride to be is going through a purification process by which we learn of Him and know His likes and dislikes through His Word, as given by the Holy Spirit of Truth. We are to keep clean from the world and its sinfulness. If we do not meet that purification process we will be as the ten foolish virgins who were unprepared for the bridegroom when He came at the midnight hour. They had left the oil for their lamps run out and therefore the flame was extinguished and there was no more light. When the bridegroom came, He took the ten wise virgins who kept oil in their lamps, away with Him and the door was closed and locked. The ten foolish virgins could not follow because the bridegroom locked them out of His heart. (Matthew 25:1-13) The oil represents the Holy Spirit, and those who let the Holy Spirit fade from their lives, will not know the light of Jesus as they should know Him, by His Holy Spirit of Truth.
People either know Jesus as Savior and keep His Light shining in their heart out into the darkness as they let His Holy Spirit dwell within to lead them all the way to Jesus or they presume too much from their own mind what the Lord will accept of the world in their lives each day. I believe it isn’t all the people’s fault who feel this way, for I believe that it is even the preachers that do err when they let the world take over their lives to a certain extent. Preachers who are called by the Lord are supposed to be filled with the Holy Spirit to do their work in the Lord. Preachers who have no Power of God in their lives have to examine what they do have, for those who have to explain away the true things of God in ministry for their own Spiritual weaknesses to come out in them have to get down on their knees and beg forgiveness. We who are of Jesus, as we have Jesus in our hearts, should all be seeking for this same Power of God that should be in all preachers, for we should all be of the same body of Christ and be moved in the same way to give all of our lives to Him and let the Holy Spirit in us only Glorify the Holy One Jesus.
I feel Jesus in my heart and I am learning each day how to please Him and let the Holy Spirit lead me to know what pleases Jesus and what does not please Him. I do not come to this conclusion on my own for I feel His Power in my life to do His Will and when I get out of His will, I know it immediately, His Holy Spirit convicts me of those things that would not be in His will. In a body of flesh we are still His children that need all the guidance that we may draw upon by His Holy Spirit of Truth. If we accept this chastisement as what it is, then we know where it came from and we would be pleasing unto the Holy Spirit when we ask for forgiveness. If we do not heed to the chastisement and do not repent, He will be grieved with us and back off from us. Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
There are things that I feel at the moment that must be said. As a babe in Christ many years ago I know now that I had to be fed with milk by the Holy Spirit filled preacher. As I was growing up, not physically understand, but as still a young person in the Lord I still had to accept food from the Holy Spirit filled preacher. As an adult I had become of an age that as I communed with the Lord, He spoke differently to my heart for He does it directly through His Word and it is food for strength, or as the scriptures put it, strong meat is for those who can exercise their senses to know right from wrong. Hebrews 5:12-14 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13 For every one that useth milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
I believe that this is the most important thing that can be understood by the Christian. To be able to discern what is in the heart of God for us, we must let Him show us the world in our lives. We must also come to the understanding that we must be corrected in the way the Lord would correct His child. If we are quiet and listen to the Word of God speak to our heart we will know by the Power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in our lives, what He would have us feel about everything we do, everything we say and everything that comes into our lives to see. There are things, not bad things understand, but things that I believe are holding saved people back, because they are not letting the Lord lead them past these things.
