A Glimpse Of God In All His Glory
There are times in my life that I have felt wonderful things, Godly things straight from Heaven. These are the times I know the Holy Spirit is moving in my heart to give me a glimpse of God that my natural mind and heart and body could not ordinarily stand to look upon in sinful flesh. While I know that my sins are forgiven, for Jesus is in my heart by faith and His Holy Spirit of Truth has taken up residence in my being, I still know that I am not perfected until Jesus calls us up to be with Him. Only He makes it possible for me to have a new body, a glorified body, not of weak flesh and blood, but a body that will be like the body of Christ when He arose from the dead and ascended to the Throne of God. 1John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
This body of mine will be perfect someday and will be able to stand before the God of Heaven and look upon Him as He is truly Holy, Holy, Holy. We will know that His Glory is the magnificent Light of the world, so bright that the Light of His Countenance will some day take the place of the Sun as the Sun will no longer be needed. Revelation 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. Just think of it and let us ponder what this means. God created this world in the beginning and I believe His Light was the light that it had in the beginning, but something happened with His original creation, a catastrophic event, possibly the fall of Lucifer and one third of the angels, and the earth became void between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. For in Genesis 1:28 - God tells man to replenish the earth. Something cannot be replenished that did not ever exist before. Something in the old writings must refer to the existence of the original creation as only one translation that I have ever read, the NIV, speaks about this footnote: the earth having possibly become without form and was made void. It is very peculiar that this Bible leaves the verse out that says that *man is to replenish the earth. (*KJV) but yet has the above footnote. I say this because In His restoration of the earth look at what His Word says: Genesis 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. Because the sun and moon were made later on the third day it would seem that when God said let there be light it was His Light that was brought forth. The Light of God is His Son Jesus who is also the Word. The Word that was spoken said Let there be Light and so Jesus was the Light of the World then. Later when He was born in the flesh of man He also brought the Light of God into the world to save men. It must be clearly noted that His Light shines out of darkness. The earth had become, through some catastrophic event, (Possibly and most likely by the fall of Lucifer) formless and without Light. When God said let there be light, I believe, that just the same as Jesus is the Light of the World at this very moment, Jesus was also the Light of the World then. The Word says that the earth did not comprehend the Light then. (John 1:5)
It must be clearly noted that the earth did not have any other source of light except the light of God before the sun and moon were placed into the heavens on the third day of restoration. So, also in the beginning it must have been lighted with the light of God as the Throne of God is in the midst of the earth or very close to earth. It is also spoken as being lighted by the light of God in the end of the Word of God when in the midst of the Holy City, the New Jerusalem, the Father and the Lamb of God are the Light that lights the earth.(Revelation 21:23) God placed the sun in the heavens to give light to the world. The Sun gives the light that is needed to sustain life on this planet. This Sun was a substitute for the Glorious light of the Son of God who will restore the New Heaven and New Earth in the future.
While in Bible study, Wednesday, March 3, 2004, we were in the scriptures of Isaiah, Daniel, and the Apostle John who wrote the Book of Revelation. In these areas of the Word of God, these three men were privileged to have looked upon the God of Heaven as men in the flesh are rarely privileged to do. I do not know how the Lord shields certain of His servants to be able to look upon His Glorious Throne, but through showing His visions to these men of God, He kept them safe. As we were studying and the Holy Spirit was moving in the room I was feeling the presence of God so much that I didn’t want it to stop and I was having the rare feeling, like Moses and Joshua, that I was on Holy ground and that we should remove our shoes as the Lord had instructed these men to do.
I have had a few experiences of these things throughout the years and the experiences were of a nature that I was in the presence of God and that it was wonderful, but it was not fully definable to my mind. We do not know how the Lord does these things in our being. He is Almighty God and has the Power to transform us from a state of nothingness to a state of being able to view in our hearts some of His Infinite Glorious Perfection. All we can do is look upon a Holy, Holy, Holy God by His Glorious Presence and know that He is there, bidding us to seek all that He has for us from His Word by His Holy Spirit of Truth.
There is infinite Power given to each sincere heart that is willing to let go of self, die to the world and live to God as He is Almighty and above us in all ways. People need to believe in God with their whole being, trusting in Him and letting Him into their heart all the way. We are His when we truly have Jesus in our hearts and His Holy Spirit bears witness to our spirit that we are in His heart. If we can only recognize the true meaning of this in our complete being: body, soul and spirit, I know that we would be limitless in our thinking toward The Great and Wonderful Holy, Holy, Holy God.
I believe with my whole heart that if we follow what Jesus brought down from Heaven, His Word of His Love, and let His Glory of His Love into our hearts completely we would let His Holiness attach us to Him and His love would be in control of our lives to keep us clean and in His Purity. It cannot be done in our own power and strength. Every good and perfect thing comes to us by His Word, as given by the Holy Spirit of Truth. God’s Word cleanses us from our daily life in a world so void of God. God’s Word is Jesus and if we let Jesus into our hearts by our daily and actually, every moment walk with Him through His Holy Spirit, and let His Spirit lead us all the way into the Holiness of Jesus we could be clean from the world. This cleansing keeps us acceptable unto The Only True Holy, Holy, Holy God.
When the messages are from the truth of the Word of God, truly from His anointed servants to bring the message of God to the people, there is a certain Power that is indescribable, and limitless to touch people in a way that they realize that He is Almighty God and is Holy, Holy, Holy. His Power gives us a glimpse of Him and if we receive this glimpse of Him in all His Glory, His work in our lives will be the true and wonderful Holy Works of God that humbles us as only the Holy Spirit of Truth may humble us.
The anointing on our lives will be the certain gifts of the Spirit that certain people have for teaching, preaching and praying for people. This anointing upon some people who have let themselves be filled with the Holy Spirit to preach, to teach from the Word of God and pray for people at certain times will be their true obedience to Him as He leads them in all ways. I do not know how it affected the rest of the people in the room that night, but I know that the Lord touched me and at least two others with His Power. His Holy Spirit was moving my heart to write about it for I believe I was feeling some of the things that the men of God were feeling when they were receiving the visions of the Throne of God. This is the only way I can describe it. These men of God had no power in their body to even move, for the Lord was overshadowing them and giving them His truths to be written.
I cannot fully describe the presence of God, but every time I have experienced these things I have been so detached from my surroundings so much that it would be as though I was experiencing similar things like the prophets Isaiah and Daniel and the Apostle John experienced. Their descriptions of the Throne of God became so real to me at those particular moments of time in my life, I just felt like I wanted to know more, experience more and be in His presence for my whole life here on this earth.
I experienced these things years ago while studying, meditating, praying and writing what the Lord would have me write. I experienced some similar things when the Lord finally got through to me when I first asked Jesus for forgiveness and invited Him into my heart nearly forty-four years ago. I experienced these things more when the Holy Spirit filled minister laid hands on me and others and prayed that we would have power to witness and have power for service in our lives. I also had an experience nearly forty-four years ago when the same Holy Spirit filled minister laid hands on me and the Power of God was on me in a very wonderful healing way. In this instance I had no strength to stand in the presence of the Holy God of Heaven and I went down to the floor for a short time, less than a minute. It was at this time that I received an instant healing for my stomach.
Years later in 1989 the Lord was again touching me and overshadowing me with His presence as I was studying His Word, praying and writing. His Power was on my being for many months and to my mind and heart it was unexplainable, but the most wonderful experience that I have ever had in my life. It was as if it was healing to my mind and heart and body. I was not in very good health at the time. I was 51 years old and overweight and very susceptible to being sick with the flu and other infections several times a year. During this period of time in my life I found out that when I was obedient unto the Lord to do certain things, and let Him clean up certain things in my life, I awakened one morning feeling so well that as I said before it was like I was experiencing healing and a renewing of my first walk with Him. I didn’t go on a diet, but lost weight. I went from 175 pounds to 140 pounds in a matter of a year. I stopped losing weight and gained 5 or 6 pounds and have stayed that way for the past 15 years without even thinking about dieting in any way. I also found myself very well and would not be sick again for about 12 years. This is what the Power of God did for me when I yielded myself to Jesus and let His Holy Spirit of Truth lead me. I cannot say that the Lord will do this for others, for He has His reasons for doing all things. I must say, I cannot think in any other way than to let the Lord into my heart more each day so that I may be well, in body, in soul and in spirit. These things only come in the matchless Name of Jesus. In all that I do, all that I say, and all that I talk to I want to give Glory and Honor unto The Holy, Holy, Holy God of Heaven, The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

The Power of His Love greatly amazes me.
Why He should love me is truly a mystery,
For He gave a glimpse of Himself for me to see;
The Light that shines forth from His Throne keeps me sin free.
