Colossians 3:14-17 And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Have you ever wondered how we can be perfect when in us there is no perfect thing. Still Jesus said in Matthew 5:48 “Be Ye Therefore Perfect Even, As Your Father Which is in Heaven is Perfect.” When people truly are sorry for their sins and invite Jesus into their heart they become partakers of the salvation that Jesus brought to us all through His Blood that He shed for us all. This brings us into a wonderful relationship with God our Father through Jesus, His Son because the blood of Jesus blots out our sin and the Father does not see our sin anymore. If each one is sincere about this wonderful salvation that is freely given, they will be sincere about taking all that Jesus has for them into their heart. What comes into the heart stays if the close relationship continues and is nourished and grows. I believe that this is where some people miss the mark. First of all we see Jesus as His Holy Spirit of Truth would always be directing our hearts to look by faith to see Jesus at the Right Hand of the Father on the Throne of God. Seeking more of Jesus is the key to this perfectness. Scripture tells us not to grieve the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 4:30) for He plays a very big roll in all our Christian life. We cannot reach the perfection that God requires of us without following Him completely. If we love the Lord with our whole being we worship God with our whole being and The Holy Spirit leads us all the way. He also leads us through the Word of God showing us God’s Love and how we are to follow this pattern of Love that Jesus brought down to us in His Word. I believe that we are always to be in the Spirit and always let Him lead us, for we cannot obtain the bond of perfection of Godly Love on our own. Everything should be done to be pleasing the Holy Spirit that dwells within each of those who truly are letting Him lead them all the way to Jesus and His Love. The fifteenth verse states And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful. If we let the Holy Spirit lead us further into God’s Love in Jesus, we will have the peace that will rule our lives and with His presence we will feel this peace and be bolder in our work for the Lord. I give Him Praise and Honor and Glory everyday as I am so thankful for all that Jesus has done for me in redeeming my soul, giving me salvation and keeping me in His Love until I could fully see all that He has for me. I am nothing and He is everything in my life and I marvel at what He has brought me through while through the years I was constantly falling into error on my own. It took me ever so long to truly seek Jesus the proper way and let His Holy Spirit of Truth lead me into the Love of God. It started to be perfect to me as I finally started to be faithful to the Holy Spirit and let Him bring me into the Truth of God’s Love in Jesus. For I wanted peace and I finally wanted all that Jesus had for me. With this the Holy Spirit started to lead me into a true personal worship every day. He impressed upon my heart to constantly be Thankful for all that Jesus is and keep a Praise and an Honor and Glory unto the Father through Jesus by His Holy Spirit of Truth. Everything is brought about by keeping in the Spirit or pleasing the Holy Spirit and letting Him have control of my mind and heart and body. It is very simple and Jesus said have an ear to hear the Holy Spirit. After so many years I know what being in the Spirit is for He now rules my life and I am finally able to do God’s will as I have peace and a presence to understand certain scriptures and let these things speak to my heart with His Truth.Verse 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. This is rich and I have never quite seen it in the true light of filling my heart as at this very moment. I am seeing the things that have been brought into my life as the Holy Spirit has brought the Word of God into my heart with wisdom to do service for the Lord. The Psalms speak volumes to my heart about Jesus as He put into the Psalmist’s hearts to write these things about the coming of Jesus, His life and death. They were not truly aware of this Savior, but God put it in their heart to write and sing these Psalms about Jesus for us today, even to comfort our hearts today. I cannot tell anyone how these things have comforted my heart when things start happening that tries to bring me down to a low feeling and I would turn to some of my favorite Psalms and I would get the peace and lift that I need for the time as I would read and feel Jesus in these words. This is how the scriptures affect me and I believe all of God’s Word that speaks of Jesus should affect our lives and bring us close to our Savior Jesus.This particular verse has also brought more light into my heart as I see the Wonderful Works of God working His will for me in service. A few years ago after I turned my life over to Jesus I would be meditating upon the Word of God as I would be reading, and words of poems would come to me to Glorify Jesus. Poems, up until this time, were not in my ability to do, but the Lord brought these things into my ability and He gave the talent. I know the poems only came as the Holy Spirit would bring them into my heart to write. I would be in prayer at times and I would have to pause for a moment to write certain lines down. If I didn’t, with my memory, it would be my experience to lose the particular words that would be impressed upon my mind and heart to write down. A few years later I started singing solo for the Lord in the church and then sometime later when I would hear certain music different words would form to the notes being played for I do not know music and cannot write music. All of these things would be to Glorify Jesus as the Holy Spirit would bring this Holy One close to my heart. He brought Him into view as my Lord and Savior sits on The Right Hand of the Father on the Throne of God as my Great High Priest, always making intercession for me and for everyone who desires to be a Christian.There is just so much that we must do to bring the Gospel of Jesus to the lost for I believe that time is running out quickly and what ever we do must be done quickly to bring all the lost to Jesus that we can. He has laid these things upon each true Christian’s heart so that the Gospel will reach as many as can be reached for the church dispensation is drawing to a close and a terrible time of a catastrophic tribulation is approaching rapidly.We also must do all that we can so that those who want Jesus more in their lives will be able to see that they must remain obedient unto the Lord and receive all that they can in order to be well pleasing unto the Lord in their Christian life. For so many people are just haphazardly being a Christian, or think that they are being a Christian. Those who have experienced these things like I have experienced Jesus years ago and have learned the hard way of letting Jesus slide from our lives are just trying to give a warning. I am so glad that Jesus waited for me to renew Him in my life. I praise Him as much as I can for giving me all that He has of Himself for me and that I may be well pleasing in His Father’s eyes for Him to some day say “Well Done Thou Good and Faithful Servant” to another one of His Sons of God made by the Glorious Hand of His only Begotten Son Jesus. I urge everyone to receive Jesus more in their life and dedicate their lives to Jesus, for He is truly The Way, The Truth, and the Life that we enjoy with His Peace that Passes all Understanding....
